Overnight Camping Experience by Boat

Service Description

Guests will board a 28' Regal powerboat on the Saint Petersburg Pier an hour before sunset. We'll head south for about 45 minutes enjoying the waters of Tampa Bay and looking for dolphins. We arrive at Shell Key Preserve where guests will disembark and all camping equipment will be provided to them including a tent, sleeping mats and bags, lights, and dinner. Grill and cooler is available upon request. Guests can choose to set up their own tent or have help from the captain. Then the boat will leave them on Shell Key overnight for a primitive, natural and immersive camping experience. There is plenty to do during the evening hours, exploring the island and shelling. Guests will wake up to a beach sunrise over the mangroves. The boat will arrive at the same location that they were dropped off the evening prior. The boat will arrive 45 minutes after sunrise and load up the camping equipment and take the guests on a 45 minute boat ride back to the Saint Petersburg Pier.

Cancellation Policy

Florida is known for its frequently changing weather and all too often, forecasts show rain or lightning and it dissipates before reaching Tampa Bay. Weather cancellations are at the sole discretion of Captain de Jong. There is a 72 hour cancellation window from your start time. Cancellations made before this window will receive a full refund of their deposit. Cancellations made within the 72 hour window will forfeit their deposit.
